My name is Alec Sweet

A dynamic creative from Metro Detroit, I bring over five years of professional experience in video production, seamlessly weaving together my roles as a videographer, editor, broadcaster, and photographer. My journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts and Studies from Wayne State University, and since joining Yellow Flag Productions as a freelancer in 2019, I've embraced the vibrant world of storytelling through visual media. In 2022, I took on the role of full-time producer, where I’ve had the privilege of working alongside my coworkers on marketing and advertisement campaigns for Lawrence Technological University, including a compelling ad that aired during the NFL Draft in 2024, right here in Detroit. I am passionate about nurturing the next generation of creatives, training and mentoring 25 interns from Lawrence Tech and Specs Howard School of Media Arts, guiding them to harness their potential in this ever-evolving industry. At Yellow Flag, our collaborative spirit shines through in our weekly live broadcasts with local 4, where innovation and creativity meet. Always eager to expand my skill set, I leverage my extensive experience with various camera brands and editing software, including the Adobe Suite and Avid’s Media software, to breathe life into every project I undertake. Whether behind the lens, in the control room or in the editing suite, my commitment to high-quality storytelling is unwavering, and I thrive on the artistry of video production at every stage.
